De Silva is a middle-class citizen and serves Arizona as a state employee. He is a first-generation immigrant who has pursued the American Dream and values. He is a graduate and alum from Arizona State University. With extensive experience since 2004 in business and now in the public sector, De Silva understands the struggles of everyday Arizonans and businesses, and the inner workings and failings of local government. He knows what is broken and how to fix it.
